The same hour of flying as the return leg, and twice the constraints. Southbound, both ends have a night rule: Le Bourget forbids jet departures from 22:15, and Geneva accepts no arrivals between midnight and 06:04. Plan this one around the clock and it is the simplest flight in Europe.

Two curfews, one hour of flying

Le Bourget stops the departure of jets over 5.7 tonnes at 22:15. Geneva stops accepting arrivals at midnight and reopens at 06:04. On a sixty-minute sector the two rarely collide — leaving Paris at 22:00 still lands you at 23:00 — but they close the day earlier than people expect, and they remove the option of pushing a departure back by two hours. If the Paris meeting is likely to run long, the aircraft that waits is the expensive one; the aircraft booked for the next morning is not.

What Geneva does with you once you land

Geneva's business-aviation terminal is a separate building on the west side, and the car meets the aircraft. In the peak weeks the airport limits parking to three hours, which is why an aircraft that has just dropped you may leave immediately for Lyon, Annecy, Chambéry or Basel and come back at the end of your stay. That ferry flight appears in the quote; it is not padding. If your trip is a two-night one in winter, it is usually cheaper to release the aircraft and book a fresh one for the return than to pay it to sit on a Geneva stand.

The season this route is really about

Geneva is the airport for Courchevel, Megève, Verbier and Val d'Isère, and from late December to early March that traffic sets the price of everything. Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings are the crush inbound. A helicopter transfer onward from Geneva is routine here in a way it is not elsewhere in Europe — Courchevel's altiport in about forty minutes — and it is booked at the same time as the jet, because in bad weather the helicopter is the part that cancels. Outside the ski season the corridor is corporate, steady, and the cheapest it gets.

Empty legs between Paris and Geneva

An hour of flying between two fleet bases means a steady, unglamorous supply: legs appear because somebody else's trip put an aircraft at one end and wants it at the other, not because the corridor strands aircraft the way the Riviera does in August. They go quickly for the same reason they appear — an hour suits almost everybody. The ski peak changes the shape. From Christmas through the February half-terms, Saturday is when resort weeks turn over, and Geneva's three-hour layover rule means aircraft that arrive are asked to leave. That produces outbound legs from Geneva on Saturday afternoons and a matching scarcity inbound on Saturday mornings — so the useful question on this route is not whether an empty leg exists, but whether yours can move to a Thursday or a Sunday. It usually can, and both the slot and the price change when it does.

Onward to the resorts, and what the type decides

Geneva is rarely the destination; it is the door. From the same apron a helicopter reaches Courchevel altiport in roughly 30 to 35 minutes and Le Châble, ten minutes below Verbier by road or funicular, in about the same. That is the transfer worth having on a Saturday in February, when the valley road is doing exactly what the airport is doing. Helicopters fly visually, so a low cloud base puts you back in a car — hold the car booking until the morning rather than cancelling it. Flying on by jet instead is a question of type, not of price. A PC-24 or a PC-12 treats Sion and Samedan as routine, while a Learjet 60XR is out of Samedan altogether and weight-limited at Sion. Samedan is the highest airport in Europe at 5,600 ft, has no ILS, and in winter works from 08:00 until dusk, so a late-afternoon arrival in January is a narrower window than the timetable suggests.

Which aircraft actually fly Paris to Geneva

From about €6,400 one way. Range is irrelevant over 410 km, so the aircraft is chosen for the cabin and, in winter, the baggage hold: six sets of skis and boots take more volume than six suitcases and are the reason a Phenom 300 becomes a Citation XLS+. Send the luggage list with the enquiry. Switzerland's customs border applies on arrival as well as departure — for goods, not passports — so anything of declared value in the cabin should be named up front.

Typical aircraft

AircraftPassengersRangeCruise speed
Embraer Phenom 30083,650 km≈ 840 km/h
Cessna Citation XLS+83,400 km≈ 815 km/h
Bombardier Challenger 35095,900 km≈ 850 km/h

Estimated one-way charter for the whole aircraft. The exact price depends on the aircraft and date, and is always quoted on request.

Frequently asked questions

How long is a private flight from Paris to Geneva?
About one hour, Paris–Le Bourget to Genève Aéroport.
How late can I fly Paris to Geneva?
Le Bourget forbids departures of jets over 5.7 tonnes from 22:15, and Geneva takes no arrivals between midnight and 06:04. A 22:00 departure lands at 23:00; later than that, the day is over.
Can the aircraft wait in Geneva while I ski?
Rarely, and it is expensive. Parking is limited to three hours in peak periods, so the aircraft usually repositions to Lyon, Annecy, Chambéry or Basel and returns for you — with that ferry in the quote.
How much does a private jet from Paris to Geneva cost?
From around €6,400 one way, and materially more on a Friday or Saturday in the ski season, when the same aircraft is wanted by everyone at once.
Can I continue to Courchevel or Verbier from Geneva?
Yes, and from the same apron. A helicopter reaches Courchevel altiport in roughly 30 to 35 minutes and Le Châble, ten minutes below Verbier, in about the same. Helicopters fly visually, so hold the car booking until the morning: a low cloud base in the valleys means the road instead.
Why is a Saturday in ski season so hard to book?
Because resort weeks turn over on Saturday and everyone wants the same six hours. Geneva also needs its approval for any layover beyond three hours, so arriving aircraft are asked to leave. Move the same trip to a Thursday or a Sunday afternoon and both the slot and the price change.
